Restaurant and dining options are incredibly diverse in Hong Kong. Almost every imaginable type of cuisine like Sichuan, Italian, Japanese, German, and Turkish can be found. This city is a virtual melting pot of cultures of East and West. With all of these overseas residents, comes an immense availability of international cuisine options. There are dining options to suit anyone's budget from fine dining to casual street fare.

Soho/Central

The compact area surrounding Hollywood Road, Eglin Street and Staunton Street offer some of the most diverse international foods in Hong Kong. Virtually every type of cuisine can be found in Soho. The restaurants are small but intimate with very stylish decor. Many of the restaurants offer alfresco dining. There are great wine bars and pubs surrounding the restaurants, so a trip to Soho for dinner can turn into an all night event. These restaurants also serve up some of the best brunches in town. Expect these restaurants to be extremely crowded on weekends so reservations are recommended.

Stanley

If you looking for a relaxing and romantic dining experience then Stanley is the place. There is an entire strip of quaint international style restaurants surrounding the harbor front. Most of these restaurants offer alfresco dining with a view. On weekends this area gets packed with brunch seekers and tourists. On a sunny day grab a coffee au lait, a book and prepare for some lovely scenery and people watching.

Tsim Sha Tsui

Tsim Sha Tsui (TST) is a very popular tourist destination. People flock to the area for upscale shopping and magnificent harbour views. There are very diverse dining options available in TST. There are a lot upscale restaurants located in the many hotels on the Kowloon Side. There is also a very popular strip of restaurants in TST called Knutsford Terrace. This street offers a variety of international restaurants and bars with alfresco dining. There are more restaurants located up and down Nathan and Canton Road.

Causeway Bay

If you are looking for more traditional Asian cuisines head to Causeway Bay. Many local budget eateries such as noodle shops and dim sum restaurants are located in the area and are open very late. There are several restaurants located in the Times Square and Lee Theatre Plaza shopping complexes.

Sai Kung & Lamma Island

If your into really fresh seafood and fish look no further then Sai Kung and Lamma Island. There are several outdoor restaurants serving up local delicacies. Enjoy the waterfront views and relaxed atmosphere. Sai Kung is located in the New Territories on the waterfront and Lamma Island is an outlying island reachable by boat. Many junk trips (boat parties) dock in Lamma Island or leave from Sai Kung.
