The Child Developement Centre, established in 1976, is a non-profit charitable organisation providing English-medium education and specialist help for over 140 families throughout the year.
The centre provides services for the full range of special needs, including sensory impairments, speech and language difficulties, attentional and behavioral problems, physical and intellectual impairments and autistic disorders. Children with learning difficulties, from birth to six years, are integrated with their typically-developing peers within an environment devoted to learning through play. They are supported in their learning by a multi-disciplinary team.
The centre is also a resource for parents and other involved in the education and care of young children, supporting a book and video library, training students in secondary and tertiary institutions and running courses for parents and colleagues.
